The core principle is not to disassemble the watch, not to touch the movement, and to avoid damaging the waterproof rubber ring or internal parts. Here are the specific methods:
Watch External Cleaning (Suitable for Most Watches)
This is the most basic and commonly used maintenance step, focusing on cleaning the dust and oil stains on the watch case, strap, and bezel.
Prepare tools
Soft bristled brush (makeup brush, toothbrush are both suitable), soft cloth (eyeglass cloth, microfiber cloth), warm water (30-40 ℃), neutral detergent (dishwashing detergent, hand sanitizer, avoid acidic/alkaline cleaning products).
Material cleaning steps
Metal case+metal strap
Dip a soft bristled brush into a small amount of warm water (or diluted neutral cleaner) and gently brush the dirt between the watch case gaps and strap sections.
Wipe the surface with a slightly damp soft cloth, then dry it with a dry cloth to avoid water stains and oxidation.
leather strap
Wipe off the surface dust with a dry cloth. Do not touch it with water or cleaning agents, otherwise it may cause the watch strap to become hard and crack.
If there are slight stains, you can use a cotton swab dipped in a small amount of leather specific cleaning agent to wipe, and then ventilate and dry.
Rubber/Silicone Strap
Directly brush with warm water and neutral detergent, rinse thoroughly, and then dry with a dry cloth to avoid direct sunlight exposure.
Attention
Before cleaning, confirm the waterproof level of the watch. Non waterproof watches/watches with a waterproof level below 30 meters are strictly prohibited from getting wet and should only be wiped with a dry cloth.
Avoid using hard objects such as brushes and steel wire balls to prevent scratching of the watch mirror and case.
